Who Are We?
TREVOR
Trevor is an IT bod, but can turn his hand to electrics, plumbing, you name it and has adventure in his veins. He has travelled extensively round the world, by bike, commercial plane and boat, gaining his Private Pilot’s Licence in America in 2016.
His mum was one of the first women pilots in Southern Ireland to gain her Private Pilot’s Licence at the Leinster Airclub in Dublin in 1960, flying Tiger Moths, so it’s clearly in the genes.

LIZZIE
Lizzie is a Senior Iyengar yoga teacher, graduated fine artist, postgraduate trained art teacher and trained dancer and can turn her creative hand to pretty much anything. She cares deeply about women’s emancipation, and the sharing of cultures to inform and enhance lives. Her Dad was in the RAF, working on Vulcans and Harrier Jump Jets in Strike Command, so again, it’s clearly in the genes.
As you can see they both have been inspired by flight since small children, and both love to experience other countries, peoples and customs.
How to go about that and have a big adventure? Why build a plane from scratch and fly it to all those wonderful destinations of course!
TIZY
As you can see, we have a lovely four-seater plane which we built over the course of two and a bit years in South Africa – COVID, and life, slowing down completion. For the techie bods out there, she is a four seater with an injection Rotax 915 engine. We have extended tanks, which means we have two extra tanks in the wings carrying fuel to take us further. TIZY can fly for nearly a thousand miles and around eight hours. That however, is not too comfortable for various reasons and we’d rather not (not that the seats aren’t comfortable, they are).
She has some amazing instruments that needed a lot of wiring, we can both vouch for that, but it does mean we have several compasses onboard and many screens to tell us where we are going and which way up we are.
